3CX Integration

Quil offers an integration with 3CX. By connecting your 3CX instance, you allow Quil to process recorded meetings and have notes automatically pushed into your Quil records. No more manual uploads.

What is Needed?

Setup for the integration with 3CX requires;

  1. A 3CX admin account that is able to manage CRM integrations
  2. Your Quil Team ID
  3. A Quil Passkey
  4. A Quil Base URL: https://production-eastus-webhooks-3cx.quil.app
  5. A 3CX Template File: Click here and Download

Setup Steps

Add Passkey to Quil

Navigate to your integrations page in Quil and scroll down to the "VOIP Integrations" section. Select "Connect Team" on 3CX then enter a strong passkey. Click "Connect" to store the Passkey. The 3CX Passkey will be needed in the next step so be sure to note it down.

The 3CX Passkey can be anything, however it should contain at least 8 digits including symbols and numbers.

Add your Agent Email to Quil

After connecting the team integration, you will need to click "Connect Member" and add your 3CX Agent Email. The Agent Email allows us to determine what account each 3CX call belongs to. 

The Agent Email MUST exactly match your account email on 3CX. If it does not exactly match, Quil will be unable to process your calls.

Gather your Team ID

The 3CX integration requires you to note down your Quil Team ID. This can be found by navigating to your Team Settings and copying the highlighted section of the URL as shown below.

Take note of this ID and store it for later. It will be needed in the next step.

Navigate to the CRM Integration Page

To integrate Quil with 3CX's CRM integrations, you must navigate to your 3CX Admin Console -> Integration page.

3CX only allows one CRM Integration per instance. If you already have a CRM Integration enabled then you will need a custom template. Please reach out to support@quil.ai for instructions.

Adding the Quil CRM Integration Template

Click the "+ Add Template" and upload the 3CX Template file. Click here and Download

Use the information gathered from the previous steps to fill in the template.

In order for Quil to process 3CX calls all fields must be filled out.

"Add CRM contacts to 3CX company phonebook when a call or message is sent or received" is not selected.

"Query CRM" MUST be set to "Always query"

"Enable Call Journaling" is selected.


Click "Save" to confirm the form.

Clicking "Test" should return a success as shown below.

How to Use the Integration

After connecting the Quil CRM Integration in 3CX any recorded calls will be send over to Quil for processing. 

If the integration is correctly configured, you will see "Quil Recording" when dialling out or receiving an inbound call.
